Biography

Hello! My name is Anthony. I am a master-level clinical psychologist who strongly believes that a meaningful therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective therapy. I am dedicated to creating an open, nonjudgmental, and safe environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves authentically. I am passionate about working with late adolescents and adults to navigate life’s challenges, better understand themselves, and alleviate the weight that stress, difficult experiences, and unexpected transitions can place on their lives.

My professional journey in mental health began with two years of experience working as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) technician with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This experience strengthened my understanding of behavior, development, and the importance of tailoring care to each individual’s unique needs.

I began my academic training at Madonna University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology. I later returned to Madonna University to earn a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. During my graduate training, I gained experience across multiple clinical settings, including Madonna University’s outpatient clinic, where I provided individual therapy to clients experiencing ADHD, grief, anxiety, depression, and other life challenges. I also trained at Michigan Modern Psychology, providing individual psychotherapy and psychological assessment services for clients presenting with ADHD, trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, emotional disturbances, and brief psychosis.

In addition to providing psychotherapy in private practice, I serve as an adjunct professor at Madonna University, where I have the opportunity to contribute to the education and professional development of future mental health professionals.

My clinical foundation is rooted in psychodynamic theory, which shapes my curiosity about how past experiences, relationships, emotions, and unconscious processes can influence our present-day thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. I also integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-focused interventions. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work collaboratively with each client to determine which strategies and perspectives are most helpful for their individual needs and goals.

Above all, I am committed to providing my clients with genuine attention, compassion, and respect while building a therapeutic relationship that feels both supportive and effective. Whether you are seeking therapy to navigate a specific challenge, better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, or simply create greater balance in your life, I look forward to supporting you along the way.
