Biography

Hi, I’m Selena – I’m really looking forward to our work together! I’m a clinical therapist passionate about helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate life’s challenges and build lives that feel more manageable, meaningful, and aligned with their values.

I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan, where I specialized in mental health, integrated care, and interpersonal practice. My training included work at Michigan Medicine, where I supported patients during the perinatal and bereavement periods, and collaborated on hospital-wide wellness initiatives. I’ve also worked in outpatient community settings, providing individual and family therapy for clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, life transitions, and challenges with emotional regulation.

I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. My style is collaborative, strengths-based, and rooted in cultural humility.

Above all, I believe that therapy should feel like a safe and supportive space—where you’re not only heard and understood but also empowered to grow. Whether you’re facing a specific issue or simply looking for more balance, I’m here to support you with compassion, curiosity, and care.
